Pan Tao or "Donut" Peach

Behold, the pan tao peach, sweet and crunchy like other white peach varieties...

But where is the pit?

Ah, there it is, the size of a little berry. :)

Your post sorta makes me want a peach jelly donut ;-)

Why is the grass still so green? I think it's warmer in Boston than it is here in KC. Hope it stays like that when I get there in a couple weeks!

Gastronomer - anything would sorta make me want a donut, especially when it's cold outside!

Q-pig - I'm a little behind in my posts--these photos were taken at the end of summer in Corning, NY. :) It's already cold enough here to have the heater on!

Doggybloggy - yes, it was a nice peach. The sweetest, crunchiest and most aromatic peaches of the summer!

You got the pictures to work! The whole time bringing those "donut" peaches home -- I truly thought it was an actual cakey donut. :(
