A Birthday Dinner

It's S's birthday, so I made a special dinner for him. Sake-steamed clams, cold soba, grilled prawns and some white sangria to wash it all down. :)

Little neck clams steamed in sake, butter, garlic, ginger and chilies.

Simple zaru soba with cucumber, scallion and dipping sauce.

Grilled jumbo prawns marinated with garlic, ginger, chili, sesame oil and sea salt resting atop grilled mushrooms.

Sangria made with a bottle of Riesling, sugar, fresh berries, diced fruits and sparkling water.

Anonymous - I love clams and hopefully will have time to revisit this sake clam dish again in the near future and post the recipe. Thanks for visiting! :)
